Lk15:11-32 - Parable of lost son 

“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

The Parable of lost son by be better understood as a parable about a loving father.  Like in the movie ‘Finding Nemo’ the story is named after the son but the real story is the quest & love of the father to be reconciled to the son.
