Our morepraxis gathering will now take place at the Greenwood retreat centre. Our home in Wantirna.

I invite you all to our house. Sat 20 10:30am-till late
An open house day with times and places to build a movement.

I?m happy to billet people traveling a distance and ask that others in the East offer a bed/floor to people traveling (maybe the westside peeps so they can stay late :) )

  • Prayer Labyrinth (I have a little one out the back)
  • Conversations about Prayer and Spiritual Direction – Joan
  • Bible Chat – Age

Shared Lunch

Afternoon

2pm

  • a mini art workshop – Lynd?
  • Conversation about arrestable Christianity? -? Age, Jess & Paul
  • Tech stuff – Rus & Mike?

3pm

  • Walk to a Playground -
  • Building a movement? – planning/starting various morepraxis hubs

Hubs: I am keen to see a few hubs get traction this year.
Reflect Hubs – spirituality/worship hubs (upperroom, alt worship or whatever) – Alannee?
Think Hubs – Discipleship groups (bible studies, gatherings) -? Age
Act Hubs – A prophet corner – Mentoring new young leaders to make a difference in our communities. Bring the young person you think has potential. – Rod?

Dinner – Hospitality of the Slum – Cara (she will need helpers)

Evening

An outside fire, couches, wine, coffee, music – conversations

    Ok guys – Joan W-H will definitely be around 10:30ish to 1pm. So if you want to have a conversation about spiritual formation/direction/support/prayer styles and that whole world…. then be here when she is :)

    3pm hub discussions seem to be the best place for other options and conversations people want to have. So bring your ideas. I seems most of the groups wanting to have the hub conversation are going to be to missing I think. Which creates a fun space for a song writing workshop or hot yoga (just a couple of ideas you may have skills for :) )

    It was good to see the east and west in the one space – thanks westside peeps for traveling.

    Did people take or want a copy of Cara’s Dhal recipe? Maybe we will post it with the Dhal Chowel challenge.

    Looks like you had a good day. Will there be some summaries of the day posted anywhere??
    We’re both really bummed we couldn’t make it, with a munchin drop off and interstate family around for the party we couldn’t squeeze the a visit in.
    I’m keen for a housegroup/biblestudy/dinner conversation thing tho…. maybe once a fortnight somewhere?

    Hey Rhax! Where are you living these days?

    Couple of ideas at my place include either relaunching the open house nights or a weekly Monday night gathering (Monday so once a month we have upperroom to break things up – less planning, etc :) )

    Brunswick have a young adult bible study/ discussion group thing that may toy with being a morepraxis think hub thingy. plus there is always talk of new things starting – north, south, east and west. Just needs people and commitment to give it a go.

    mmm summaries?? We didn’t even take photos! (yep again)
    Well Hannah had some general questions (speed dating style) that acted as conversation starters. Want to post them Han?

    There were so many conversations about so much…. not sure where/how to start. Maybe people could post ponderings around ideas and see where it leads.
